Hey, guys. in the last post, i've write about Barbie which is the prettiest doll in the world. Now, in this post i'd like to tell you about Teddy Bear. Check it out :)

Teddy Bears are well known all over the world. Most of children worldwide love that doll. Now, let me tell you about the history of Teddy Bear. The name of Teddy Bear was taken from United States President, Theodore Rosevelt. His nickname's Teddy. Teddy loves to hunt bears. One day, at the Colorado HOtel at Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Teddy returned from unsuccessful hunt and then the hotel's employee gave him a doll which is a bear doll. Teddy ave that doll to his daughter, Alice. His daughter was really happy and named the doll "Teddy". The name Alice's gave to that doll become famous.

Many years later, many people made many things that regarding to Teddy beas. For example, Teddy bear's museum. The first teddy bear museum was set up at Petersfield, Hampshire, England, in 1984 which is founded by Judy Sparrow. But now, there are many teddy bears museum around the world.

Beside museum, there are Teddy bear festivals that now become popular around the world, Taking place in Australia, America, Canada, Great Britain, Japan and Germany.

Now, let me tell you about the prettiest doll, Barbie.

Do you know Barbie ? I'm sure that most of you know Barbie well.

Barbie or Barbara Millicent Robert, was born in March 9th 1959. It's created by Mattel inc. a toy company in USA. The owner of Mattel are Ruth Handler and Elliot Handler.

In the Barbie story, Barbie has a boyfriend, Ken Carson or Ken.
She also has 5 siblings, they are :
1. Skipper Robert, her sister
2. The twin siblings, Todd and Tutti
3. Kelly Robertson
4. Krissy Robert, but this character unfamaous, so Mattel stopped to
   iproduce this caracther in 2001
5. Chelsea, this character introduced in the middle of 2011

Now, I will tell you about the facts of Barbie,
The name of Barbie inspired from the name of Ruth Handler's daughter, Barbara and the name of Barbie's boyfriend inspired from Ruth's son, Kenneth.
If we convert the size of barbie doll into human's size:
weight: 49 kg
height: 161 cm
Vital size: 29-46-84 cm

Barbie become the most famous doll since it launched for the first time. And Barbie use "Scalle Modeeling 1/6" and it become the standart size to make modelling toy and action figure. It's called Playscale Miniaturism.

And, do you know? Barbie has been sold millions in over the world. Even, it become the world's culture icon in 1974. As a reward, New York geverment changed  the name of Times Square into Barbie Boulevard and used that name for a week.
Barbie is the first doll that become a virtual actress, since 1987 until today, Barbie has played in 23 films.

So, that's all about Barbie, the most beautiful doll ever.

Do you know since when people start to know about dolls?
Dolls are  one of the oldest kid's toys. However once, the function of dolls were more religious. The oldest doll which found in the regions of Europe, is the Aurignacian cultural heritage of 40,000 years old. Most of the dolls that were found, have a very plump breast and hips which symbolized fertility.  
One of them is Venus Willendorf doll, discovered around Donan River, Austria. The doll is made ​​of carved limestone with 10 cm height,it has faded red colour.
In prehistoric  of Egyptian and Chinese cultures, dolls used as a substitute for human sacrifice were buried with important figures. In the cultural heritage of Babylon found inlay shaped flat wooden puppets, colored, long hair is made from strands of beads, clay or wood, which is found in several tombs in Egypt from 3000-2000 BC.
